"Ming Yuen (名園)" (17th June, 1918 to early 1930s) was an amusement park, located in Tsat Tsz Mui (七姊妹), Hong Kong. Nowadays the zone bewteen Ming Yuen Western Street (明園西街) and Kam Ping Street (錦屏街, originally named as "(名園東街)").

"Ming Yuen (名園)" has 3 cascaded gates, a Cantonese opera bamboo theatre and an Avalokitasvara statue cave were just beside the right hand side entrance.

"Ming Yuen (名園)" used bamboo fences to divided in to 3 zones, a main path go through those 3 zones.

Zone A has central hexagonal pavilion that enshired a virtual goddess of ancient China, a karaoke hall with live Chinese band, offered erotic Cantonese songs, entertained the guest with alcohol and cakes, visitors played go game, Chinese chess and Pai Gow.

Zone B has a central painting hall, visitors drank alcohol, wrote poems or couplets among literates, drew ink wash painting, such as mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, tigers, horses, ..., etc., played lantern riddles for an exercise book or an ink brush, painting hall's right hand side was a big wooden and bamboo made birds cage beside the painting hall, it was a miniature zoo that displayed tortoises, rabbits, parrots, orioles, ..., etc., painting hall's left hand side was a two storey pavilion, full of rare rock formations, beside a zigzag bridge and pond, a childen playground offered swing frame and hand powered carousel.

Zone C should be the most highest place, it has an open air cinema and dancing field.

Outside the "Ming Yuen (名園)" was a seashore swimming shed, swimmers were most likely those prostitutes and their clients.

A 1925 released Hong Kong silent film "Who is the true love (誰是真愛)", which starred by a fat comedian Mr. Wong Chung Man (黃仲文), and directed by a Soochow director Mr. Liu Lei Chuan (劉淚鵑), this film shot its exterior on 9th November, 1924, Sunday, they took aerial shooting from the balcony of "Choi Fa brothel (賽花寨)", Man Kwok Restaurant (萬國酒樓) at 112 Wellington Street, and "Ming Yuen (名園)" were all captured into its film sceneries, may be you can watch this film for more sceneries of "Ming Yuen (名園)".
