蓮花汽車是一家基地位於英國Hethel的跑車與賽車製造商。該公司因設計與製造劃時代的賽車與生產極度輕量和擁有傳奇性操控特色的汽車而著名。
該公司的基地位於英國東部，初期為蓮花工程有限公司，由有影響力的工程師Colin Chapman在1952年創立。最初該公司的工廠是一些在Hornsea鐡道酒店後面的殘舊馬廄。蓮花隊伍於1958年至1994年在一級方程式比賽上活躍與競爭。從60年代蓮花開始使用鄰近Norwich的Hethel的現代工廠與道路測試設備。
Chapman在1982年死於心臟病，享年54嵗，從一個旅館看門人的兒子到死亡時成為一個在戰後英國擁有數百萬身家的實業家。他在賽車及汽車上製造了無數的成功，曾在一級方程式世界錦標賽上獲得七次勝利。
1986年該公司被GM收購。在1993年8月27日GM以3億歐元出售蓮花給盧森堡的A.C.B.N. Holdings S.A.，一家由義大利商人Romano Artioli控制的公司，他亦擁有保加迪汽車SpA。1996年大部份蓮花的股份出售給Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Bhd (寶騰)，一家在吉隆玻證券交易所上市的馬來西亞汽車公司。
蓮花亦有提供工程顧問服務，為其他汽車公司個別開發懸吊系統。
2005年馬來西亞寶騰公司將蓮花組織為蓮花集團，將蓮花汽車和蓮花工程分離。據傳現正組織一支一級方程式車隊。The Lotus Elise is a two seat, rear-wheel drive, mid-engined roadster conceived in early 1994 and released in September 1996 by the English manufacturer Lotus Cars. The car has a hand-finished fibreglass body shell atop its bonded extruded aluminium chassis that provides a rigid platform for the suspension, while keeping weight and production costs to a minimum. The roadster is capable of speeds up to 240 km/h (150 mph).[2] The Elise was named after Elisa, the granddaughter of Romano Artioli who was chairman of Lotus at the time of the car's launch
