國立臺灣大學昆蟲學系之教育目標及特色為配合國家整體經濟及農業發展，培育具備昆蟲學、生物多樣性、植物防疫與檢疫及蟲害綜合防治等廣泛學識與最新技術的人才，俾在昆蟲生物科技、植物保護、植物防疫檢疫、生態保育、環境污染及病媒防治等相關領域之行政、研究、推廣、教學及民間企業能貢獻所學，服務社會。研究室依教師所學專長計有13間，分別研究昆蟲之生理、生態、分類、病理、毒理、抗藥性管理、神經生物、發育生物、行為、遺傳進化、昆蟲保育、生物技術等。

 

本系所的學群規劃與發展方向，配合教育目標及特色，不再只偏重於農業蟲害之防治、人畜、衛生害蟲及有用昆蟲之利用，同時也兼顧昆蟲相關之生物技術、環境污染、生物多樣性及生態保育方面之研究與應用。

 

 

The Entomology Department NTU is evolving toward a modern research unit of integrative biology. The research interests, of thirteen current faculty members, over genetics, ecology, evolution, systematics, taxonomy, conservation biology, scientific education, behavior, neurobiology, physiology, toxicology, developmental biology, genomics, pest management, and insecticide resistance.

 

With excellent performance in teaching and research, the Department of Entomology has become a renowned faculty in the College of Bioresources and Agriculture at the NTU. We aim to create an even more stimulating and competitive environment as to pursuit the best educational and research quality of insect sciences in the world.
